Cactus

Build your cactus garden!
Might NOT grow in wet, or very humid areas

Cholla, often called tree cactus, walkingstick cholla, or cane cactus and other names, is a tree-like plant growing to 8 ft tall with cylindrical sections 1 inch in diameter and 3-5 in. long. Thorns are numerous and up to 1 inch long. Cholla flowers are purple and mature into yellow fruit. When ripe, the fruit drops to the ground (as seed), producing new plants. Cholla can also grow from the cylindrical sections that fall to the ground. They take root when moisture is available.

  • Cylindrical sections $5 each, plus sales tax, shipping & handling

  • Fruit for seed, when available (late summer & Fall)
    $1 each, 6 for $5 or 15 for $10 plus sales tax, shipping & handling
    • Planting instructions shall be sent with the shipment.

    Prickly Pear has pinkish flower buds that open to yellow flowers. The immature fruit is green and matures to red, pink, or magenta. Pads are paddle-shaped and slightly larger than an adult's outspread hand. Mature pads are green with medium to long thorns.

    Cuttings will be available in late Spring, Summer and early Fall. However, cuttings in the Spring and Fall are only available while the temps remain above 60 degrees F.

  • Pad cutting $5 each, plus sales tax, shipping & handling
    Cuttings will NOT be made until your order is received. Please allow up to 3 weeks for shipment to arrive.
    • Planting instructions shall be sent with the shipment.
